Town End - Lake District Holiday Cottage is situated in the Winster Valley in the Lake District National Park between Kendal and Lake Windermere in Cumbria. It is a traditional Westmorland farm with stone outbuildings and meadows and pasture land and dry stone walls. The Winster valley is an unspoilt spot that runs parallel with the better known Lyth valley.
Town End is a working farm with the main focus on breeding alpacas for their luxurious fleece. Rupert, the young alpaca on the right, won a 1st prize for his fine and soft fleece at the Royal Show 2007.
Adjacent to the farmhouse is a semi-detached holiday cottage which has been refurbished to a high standard and has been awarded 4 stars by Quality in Tourism, VisitBritain.
This is a perfect place to stay for up to four adults and two children during any season with scenic walks, great pubs and restaurants, and much more to do all within the vicinity.
